The WildeCamp Lead is responsible for the health and safety of the campers while they are onsite.  In this role, the WildeCamp lead will administer camper medications, maintain records and provide first aid/CPR as needed.  This position will also assist in housekeeping duties at camp, trail maintenance, program setups, and any additional camp upkeep needs.




This position will be from 5/24/2021 to 8/6/2021.


The training schedule for this position will be from 5/24/2021 to 6/1/2021, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The work schedule for this position will be from 6/2/2021 to 8/6/2021 Sunday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. 

Dinner is included with camp. Lodging is available for a minimal fee.


  • Maintain safety as the priority in all activities.
  • Maintain first aid supplies for education programs.
  • Oversee distribution of medication to campers.
  • Perform first aid and C.P.R. as necessary.
  • Maintain camp safety records.
  • Report safety needs to Education Coordinator.
  • Clean and prepare education camp and conduct other camp upkeep tasks.
  • Maintain hiking trails and other land management projects.
  • Assist in setup for activities, programs, and meals.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Conservation Education team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High school diploma required.
  • Experience working with school age children required.
  • Ability to supervise outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking and canoeing required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills required.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in sometimes stressful situations required.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to obtain Basic Wilderness First Aid Certification (training provided by the Wilds).
  • Current First-Aid and CPR certification required (training will be offered).
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal history background check annually required.
  • Possession of a valid motor vehicles operator’s license and a good driving record required. Must be willing to be trained to drive school bus while on Wilds’ property.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team required.
  • Ability to provide excellent guest service by positively interacting with guests required.
  • Ability to adhere to standard operating procedures including but not limited to safety protocols required.
