Security

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s Security Team takes great pride in our ability to maintain a safe and secure environment for our staff, animal collection, guests and infrastructure with a high level of dedication and professionalism.  Security Team Members may work at various locations throughout the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Zoombezi Bay, but will primarily focus on Zoombezi Bay and Parking Lot operations during the summer and fall seasons. Security team members operate with discipline and vigilance, focusing on observing, mitigating, and interdicting behaviors and interactions inconsistent with our organizations values and goals.  Security team members constantly maintain a visible and approachable attitude, in order to meet the needs of our customers and deter unwanted behaviors.  The Security team member’s ability to operate both independently and in collaboration with other team members and supporting agencies strengthens our ability to respond to all emergencies, calls for service and guest inquiries.
