  • Interacts directly with guests using excellent customer service
  • Completes all transactions on POS terminals accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for pricing, stocking merchandise and keeping floor organized and clean.
  • Assists with the daily operation of rental services throughout the park.
  • Participates in maintaining accurate inventory counts.
  • Adheres to uniform and employee policies and regulations.
  • Learn about the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and the species here in order to accurately answer questions.
  • Strive to further the mission of the organization and support the Columbus Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, The Wilds and Safari Golf Club.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Posted schedule may be subject to change based on operational needs such as weather conditions, guest attendance and department needs.
  • Reports directly to Team Lead.


  • 15 years of age or older.
  • Accurate cash handling skills required.
  • Ability to perform physical work for extended periods of time and be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments successfully.
  • Ability to work in varied weather conditions (i.e. extreme heat, rain).
  • Ability to work in extreme heat environments (exceeding 100˚F) and/or winter conditions (conditions under 32˚F) for extended periods of time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent guest service and uphold the Make it G.R.E.A.T. standards.
  • Ability to adapt easily to changing circumstances in a busy work place.
  • Subject to Drug Free Workplace Policy.
  • Subject to BMV check.
  • Subject to Criminal Background check.


This is seasonal employment opportunity, with start dates available in mid August through September.
