Be the true face of The Wilds as a Shuttle Driver or Parking Attendant! In these positions you are the first to greet our guests and start them on their day of conservation and fun. Get them parked and oriented before dropping them off at the Johnson Visitor Center to begin their day.

Responsibilities

  • Collect parking fee when applicable and direct visitor to parking area.
  • Process accurate sales transactions.
  • Provide all of the Wilds guests with prompt and friendly transportation throughout visitor areas.
  • Inform the Wilds guests of what is available to them during their visit.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections.
  • Keep vehicles clean, heavy lifting required.
  • Make recommendations to better customer satisfaction based on guest reaction.
  • Strive to further the mission of the organization and support the Wilds, Zoo, Zoombezi Bay and Safari Golf Club.
  • Posted schedule may be subject to change based on operational needs such as weather condition, guest attendance and department needs.

Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to adapt easily to changing circumstances in a busy work place.
  • Good decision making skills.
  • Ability to operate a two-way radio.
  • Communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Plan and organize work in an efficient and cost-effective manner without direct supervision.
  • Ability to provide excellent guest service and uphold the Make it G.R.E.A.T. standards.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with all Wilds/Zoo team members.
  • Communicate well both verbally and in writing required.

  • Possession of a valid Ohio driver’s license and a good driving record is a must.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
