In the Rides and Attractions department, our team is dedicated to a great guest experience every day. We value safety, teamwork and fun as we operate over 20 rides and attractions throughout the Zoo. If you can deliver that experience at the roller coaster, the train ride or even our 4D Theater, then ride operations is the zoo adventure you have been waiting for!

• Enhance the Zoo and Zoombezi Bay’s atmosphere by providing an inviting and exciting rides and attractions experience.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of rides, transportation and attractions.
• Engage with guests, answers questions and provides detailed safety instructions.
• Assist guests during boarding and unloading
• Properly check all safety restraints and ride area
• Transacts ticket sales for Animal Feedings
• Remain attentive and alert at all times in order to react to different situations efficiently
• Provide GREAT guest service.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the attraction’s area.
• Work with area animal keepers and program staff of designated areas
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Posted schedule may be subject to change based on operational needs such as weather condition, guest attendance and department needs.

• 15 years of age or older.
• Able to perform heavy physical work for extended periods of time.
• Able to balance multiple assignments successfully.
• Able to successfully complete a Rides certification program.
• Able to work in varied weather conditions (i.e. extreme heat, rain).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer knowledge/skills.
• Able to maintain courteous and helpful behavior.
• Able to work with diverse guest population including all ages and backgrounds.
• Able to maintain appropriate employee appearance (see uniform guidelines at each time clock and the employee handbook).
• Able to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• This position is not eligible for overtime pay.
